Barcelona Tavern dishes up Latin-accented breakfast (patatas bravas, Spanish omelet), brunch (huevos rancheros), lunch (tapas, paella, pizza) and dinner (ditto). The tapas menu features snacks such as Greek lamb ribs, mussels, chorizo, lobster ravioli and the requisite Iberico ham is an add-on to tomatoes Barcelona with Manchego cheese.

Chef Roy Oh’s Euro-contemporary tapas has taken 17th Avenue Southwest by storm. The restaurant’s name translates to “food served with alcohol." These small-plate selections include lemongrass Brussels sprouts, Korean fried chicken and kimchi fried rice.

On a cold, snowy Edmonton night, nothing says lovin’ like a cup of hot chocolate. It’s no surprise this drink was originally dubbed the “elixir of the gods.” Regardless of the variety you select, or whether you opt for the simplest hot chocolate on the menu, all I can say is ... don’t forget the marshmallows.
