Turtle Jack's Muskoka Grill

I have visited this location many times. The first few times the service was awful. I spent half my time trying to flag down a server to get a drink or more food. Once setaed you seem to be forgotten about. Every other time I have been there it has been to meet people and this was thier suggestion. Each time the service remianed the same. This past weekend, Saturday March 6 @ 5:30pm, I went again to meet friends. I arrived first with my wife. We stood at the door and stared into a restaurant with only one table of 6 seated the rest of the place was a ghiost town. We waited 10 minutes before we decided to seat ourselves. While walking to a table a server/hostess walked across the floor and asked if we would like to be seated...too late. Thankfully our friends texted us and told us that they would prefer to meet at another restaurant as it was closer to the theaters they wanted to go to. Some things don't change and it ammazes me that this location is able to stay in business. My visits have not been over a period of months but rather years and the same service remains. With polite comments to managers during and after meals I receive the same comments that they are sure it couldn't have been that bad or that it is just busy. No care for customers!!

Not a good lounge

We went to the lounge as we had arranged to meet a bunch of friends to watch Andy Roddick's last tennis match at the US Open, but when we got there the manager refused to put on the sound. He said he only puts the sports sound on for things he thinks important, like an NHL game. There were only a couple of people in the lounge, so I don't see why he was so unco-operative. It couldn't be a family area, as there was loud rap music drowning conversation. We had to text all our friends to meet somewhere else where sports were allowed, and so we only stayed one drink. Obviously, not a place looking to have some friends have a few drinks.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! The location in Richmond Hill spilled an entire pitcher of beer on my wife. Yes it was an accident, but we clearly saw them laughing about it including the manager. Not only did they not bring a new one but tried to make us pay for the pitcher they spilled also which we never even had 1 glass of it. They became VERY rude about the whole thing and when we asked to speak to the manager she ignored us until I went up to her. She then told me "if you are unhappy, please leave and do not come back". THIS PLACE IS DISGUSTING ATTITUDE AND TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT!

Ok food, service was good

Ordered the Blackened Tilapia with Lobster Mash and veg. The Tilapia came out pretty well raw. The waitress was flagged down and the dish returned. The manager showed up forthwith and apologized and had the order removed from the bill. The plate returned with a newly fired filet shortly. It was well flavoured and to be honest I would have gone through the raw fish to get to the Mash , it was outstanding, the veg, carrots and green beans were fresh not frozen. It was a flavourful dish and well executed for psuedo-blackening of a bland fish. I would like to see someone do the traditional Paul Prudholme Blackening instead of the grill and bake "bronzing " that is passed off as Blackening. The mistake was handled well and left me with a favourable impression overall, I would return when in the area.
